It turned out to be a great day to “Tee Off Against Drugs” at Park Hills Golf Club Monday afternoon.
It was the first of a two day golf tournement to benefit Operation Our Town.
150 students from 19 high schools tee’d off in one of the largest student tournaments. Tuesday supporters of this ten-year non-profit will take to the links with more than 50 four-somes playing and raising funds.
Randy Feathers, the Operation Our Town Chair, said, “the mission of Operation Our Town is important. To keep kids off of drugs, to start with, to combat drug abuse, drug crime. and that’s really been very successful in this area.”
The students and supporters enjoyed a BBQ after they finished.
Operation Our Town says this is their primary fundraiser for the year.
