Sugar warnings on drinks for kids

Health warnings on sugar sweetened beverages may influence whether parents buy the drinks for their children.
University of Pennsylvania researchers found when labels warn of obesity, diabetes and tooth decay, parents are much less likely to purchase them.

Research shows soft drinks, juices and other beverages,  marketed for children, can contain up to 7 teaspoons of sugar in less than a one cup serving.

That’s more than twice the recommended daily amount of sugar for that age group.
