Thousands of folks gathered in Washington, D.C. Friday, to march and protest legalized abortion in the annual March for Life and locally, students from Bishop Guilfoyle in Altoona met up with Saint Francis University students in Loredo to hold their own March for Life.

“Life is our essential right… that’s something as Americans we’re given the right to life and if we can’t have that right, then who’s to say we can have any rights and being able to come out and march for that is a huge thing,” SFU freshman, Mary Kraus said.

This is the fourth year Saint Francis students have held the local gathering.
