Still no answers in homicide investigation

Still no answers in the murder of a Centre County woman and police continue to ask for the public’s help to find who did it.

It’s been nearly two weeks since 60 year-old Jean Tuggy was found dead inside of her Pine Grove Mills home. Her death is the third homicide since August in Centre County.

As her case remains unsolved, Tuggy’s case joins a list of unsolved homicide cases in Centre County, including the deaths of Dana Bailey, Rachel Taylor and Betsy Aardsma. Cindy Song and Brenda Condon’s missing persons cases remain unsolved.

The end of February marks the 25th anniversary of Condon’s disappearance, which State Police said they’re still actively investigating.

Police said any information, no matter how big or small, could make all the difference in an unsolved case.

“Maybe it doesn’t seem like it’s significant to hte person who holds that information, but when it’s told to the investigator, that investigator may have other information that when they put that together with the new information, it can be very crucial to solving the investigation,” Trooper Dave McGarvey, of the Pennsylvania State Police, said.

Ferguson Township Police said they’re currently re-interviewing family, friends and neighbors of Tuggy, as well as electronic communications. They urge anyone with information to call.
