A Clearfield woman was injured after police say her husband, who is a state trooper, attacked her last night.
We have more on the investigation that’s landed a longtime officer behind bars tonight.
Police say it all started when a distraught woman called 9-1-1, saying her husband threatened to kill her and himself with his duty weapon.
Terry Jordan, 46, is facing aggravated assault and other charges including public drunkenness.
It happened around 11 p.m. in the 500 block of Johns Drive in the Goldenrod neighborhood.
The complaint says Lawrence Township police did not find Jordan at the home, but did find the wife who’d been hiding in a closet.
The complaint says they had dinner and drinks, then more drinks at a friend’s house in Clearfield, before going home, where the wife reportedly refused to be intimate and ran into the garage.
The complaint says Jordan hit her in the head, slammed her head into a wall, and kicked her in the back, before putting a gun to her head and saying he would kill them both.
The victim later went to the hospital with her sister in a private vehicle, police said.
Jordan then drove up smelling of alcohol, put his hands up, and was arrested and taken to the Clearfield County Jail, the complaint states.
Jordan has a long history with the Clearfield barracks, but police say he was most recently assigned to the executive and administrative offices in Harrisburg and is suspended without pay.
He is a former pee-wee football coach who graduated from Slippery Rock University in 1991, and from the 101st trooper class in 1998.
His bail was set at $1 million and a hearing is set for Wednesday, according to court records.
