The State Department of Health said those traveling to Mexico, the Caribbean or other areas where the Zika virus has been found should be cautious during Spring Break.
People should use insect repellent, wear light clothes and sleep under mosquito nets.
The CDC recommends men who travel to Zika-affected areas wear condoms consistently and correctly during sex to avoid spreading the virus to their partners.
The CDC also recommends all pregnant women consider postponing travel to Zika-affected areas.
Officials said education is important before travel.
