Nearly five years after being accused of trying to cover up the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal, former Pennsylvania State President Graham Spanier was in court Monday.

Seven women and five men were picked for his jury with four alternates are expected to be picked early Tuesday morning.

The email exchange discovered during the Louis Freeh Investigation will most likely be key evidence. In the emails Graham Spanier, Tim Curley and Gary Shultz  debated how they should handle the 2001 shower incident. Spanier alledgedly gave his approval to having Curley tell Sandusky to get professional help or face a report to the state’s child welfare agency.

The prosecutor has at least fifteen witnesses on their list. Some include Tim Curley and Gary Shultz- who plead guilty  to lesser charges last week, Mike McQueary who recently won his whistle blower lawsuit against Penn State, and several others from the university.

Opening statements are expected Tuesday morning. We’re told the judge wants the trial done this week.
