In a vote Monday, April 18, the State College Borough Council voted unanimously to temporarily close down South Fraser Street.
One block between Calder Way and Beaver will be closed from May 15 to May 18, in order to dismantle the crane at the Fraser Centre.
During this period, the Fraser Street parking garage will also be closed, except sealant work taking place in the garage will keep it closed until May 23; that’s when portions of the garage will slowly reopen, but that is not expected to be completely finished until June 5.
