On Saturday, Feb. 25th, the Johnstown Tomahawks are playing a game at 12 p.m. at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.

The team will wear special “Slapshot”-themed jerseys and fans will get “Hanson-style” glasses.

Then at 3 p.m., a celebrity game will take place where stars from the movie, including the Hanson brothers, will return to the rink.

“We think the community is really going to rally around this because it’s a great movie, it’s a cult-classic to this day. And it helped make Johnstown into the hockey town that it is. I think the community’s been really receptive and we’re going to have a pretty big crowd that day,” said Mike Gosnell, Communications Manager for the Johnstown Tomahawks.

The “Slapshot”-themed Tomahawks jerseys will be auctioned off on Saturday, along with the scoreboard and organ from the film.

Tickets for both the Tomahawks game and the “Slapshot” celebrity game are still available. You need individual tickets to attend both match-ups.
