A photo posted to an area ambulance company’s Facebook page has gone viral, for a good reason.
The picture shows five year-old Cassie Cigich and two year-old Sean Cigich in the back of an ambulance. Fast-forward 15 years, the brother/sister duo are both EMT’s with Centre LifeLink.
“I knew what my sister did and I found it very cool. She’d always come home and have cool experiences and stories to tell us,” Sean said.
Centre LifeLink Executive Director Scott Rawson said it’s unusual to see this kind of pair in the field.
“I could only think of one other brother and sister combo as EMT’s here with Centre LifeLink in the 18 years that I’ve been here,” Rawson said.
It’s a bond shared between two siblings, from one family to another.
“I never would have thought that my little sibling would get to work with me, but I think it’s a really enriching experiment for us to be able to do this,” Cassie said.
