An anonymous local business arranged a special visit for a 9 year old boy.

The business asked local police departments to refer families they know who could use some extra holiday cheer.

Santa along with his elf, and officers from Logan Township Police and Altoona Police, visited Travis Zerby.

Officer Bender said this visit was a special one for him.

He said he met Travis a couple years ago and they’ve been buddies ever since.

The group brought Travis gifts including games, a sweatshirt, and a gift card.

Travis said he’s met Santa before but was really surprised to see Officer Bender with him today.

‘”It’s the second time and all these police officers. And Officer Bender showed up. He’s pretty much my best friend at the school right now..the police,” Travis said.

“Santa Claus wanted to know if there were some extra families that could use some extra presents cause they were good for the year and I right away thought of travis and asked Santa if he could come to Travis’ house and give some extra presents for him,” Bender said.

The business said it received donations from community members and about 20 other businesses.
