Ballot applications in Somerset County are available to run for local office this fall.
Rockwood Borough is in danger of only having one council member left. Four of the five council members and the mayor said they are not going to seek re-election.
While the borough can technically operate with just one official, legal advisors said that could be risky.
Two people have picked up applications for Rockwood so far: one for mayor and the other for a council position.
Starting February 14th, applicants could begin getting signatures. Each applicant must get at least ten signatures by Tuesday, March 7th.
