State Rep. Mike Hanna (D) joined State Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (R), today in congratulating the Bellefonte Red Raiders on winning the PIAA Class AAA championship 2-0 over Susquehanna Township on Friday, June 17, 2016.
“It really has been miraculous watching this team improve as the season continued and by the time they got to the playoffs, they were literally unstoppable,” said Hanna. “I was so impressed by the growth in this team over the course of this year and congratulate them on an outstanding season and the first of what we expect to be many state championships.”
Teammates from the Bellefonte Red Raiders were recognized on the House floor today and were provided with a House citation in honor of winning the very first baseball state championship in the history of Bellefonte Area High School.
