A prayer vigil is planned for the community Sunday evening at the First Responders Memorial in Leroy Elmore Park to honor Lubbock area first responders.
Residents are asked to gather in peace and love to shop support for local first responders, their families and the first responders across the county.
Organizers have invited every law enforcement and first responder agency in Lubbock County as honored guests to the event.
Several local church leaders have also been invited to assist in prayers.
The prayer vigil will begin at 7:00 p.m. Leroy Elmore Park is located off South Loop 289 and Quaker Avenue.
