A Japanese company has reached an agreement to merge with a powdered metal company in St. Marys.
The Keystone Powdered Metal Company website says the final closing involving Sumitomo Industries in Osaka, Japan, is expected to occur within the next month.
The site says Keystone has about 600 employees in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, and shareholders apporved the deal on Sept. 2.
The Keystone brand and management team will continue and there’s no word if jobs will be impacted here.
