Police need your help finding a man who tried to abduct a child Tuesday, in Blair County.
The incident happened along Old 6th Avenue and Bells Lane, just south of Bellwood, when an 11-year old girl waiting at her bus stop was approached by the man. School had been delayed for two hours and her bus was running late and that’s when the man pulled up in his truck and asked her if she wanted a ride to school. She ran home, but made sure to get a description of the man before he fled, heading south on Old 6th Avenue.
The man is described as a white man, who is somewhere between 40 and 50-years old. He’s heavy set with a goatee and is balding on the top of his head. He was driving an off-white colored pickup with black interior, when he tried to abduct the girl.
