Penn State Police continue to investigate a reported harassment and ethnic intimidation case on campus.

University Police said this is the second harassment incident they’ve investigated in this specific dorm in the last month and it’s the second time a report involving ethnic intimidation has been reported to police this school year.

The most recent incident happened on the second floor of Geary Hall, which is in East Halls on the university’s main campus.

Police said someone taped a piece of paper to a student’s door that contained obscene and offensive language. Police said it was a racially charged note.

It allegedly happened between 1:55 and 2:10 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

At this point, police do not have any suspects, but said they are reviewing surveillance footage from inside of the dorm. Police urge the university community to take a stand against this type of incident.

“One case is one too many,” Deputy Chief of Police Thomas Sowerby said. “We do have them, we are trying to pursue those investigations, alerting the community to them. We don’t tolerate that kind of behavior.”

Anyone who may have information about this case is asked to call Penn State Police.
