Two men who are from outside the Johnstown area, Bobby Brantley and Anthony Jenkins, are facing drug charges.
Police told WTAJ Thursday that they found 24 bags of heroin valued at $480 inside the home, along with two handguns, and $700 in cash.
Police Chief Craig Foust is issuing a warning to businesses. He said three of the $100 bills found were counterfeit.
The Johnstown Police Department worked alongside the Cambria County Drug Task Force, the Attorney General’s office, Cambria County SERT, and the FBI for this investigation.
Chief Foust praised the different agencies who worked together, “We’re all working on the same end. So it just makes sense to work together and this is an example of that. It’s been ongoing for a while now, but this is just the perfect example of how it should work.” He said it sends a message to folks in the area that they will not tolerate drugs.
This drug bust happened walking distance from a popular neighborhood playground, which authorities said worries them.
Overall, they called the day a win in the community’s effort to take back their streets.
Chief Foust added that if you have a tip don’t be afraid to tell police. No matter how minor you think it is, it can help their investigation and help to make the neighborhoods safe again.
