Police say they were investigating a suspected meth lab in DuBois this afternoon.

Earlier, two suspects were arrested at the home and arraigned on other charges.

Several residents were evacuated from nearby homes and the street was blocked.

Jeffrey Bish, 37, and Samantha Bish, 33, were arrested around 8 a.m. on drug charges from January.

An agent on scene says while making the arrest, police noticed some suspicious items inside that duplex home at 22 East Weber Avenue.

The agent says they called in a clan lab team which arrived around 1:30 p.m.  They spent all day at the home before clearing after 5 p.m.

The attorney general’s office in Harrisburg says it’s a suspected meth operation.

“A city truck was out here putting barricades up front so I walked down taking my garbage can with me and my shovel and we asked the guy and he said, there’s a meth lab over here on Weber Avenue and then they evacuated all the people over there on Weber Avenue,” says neighbor Elbert Blose.

Back in January, police say they organized an undercover buy of $20 in oxycodone pills at the home, which they say the Bishes were dealing near a small child.

Records show bail for both suspects was set at $50,000.
