A judge has ordered Penn State to pay former football Coach Mike McQueary $5 million in addition to the $7.3 million he received in his defamation case against the University for his role in exposing the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.
Court documents say that Penn State did not act accordingly with the state’s whistleblower law.
In 2011, McQueary admitted to a grand jury he witnessed Jerry Sandusky sexually abusing a young boy.
McQueary argued he unfairly lost revenues after being fired by the University and was unable to find other coaching jobs as a result.
