U.S. Senator Bob Casey came to our region today to talk about the future of healthcare, with a special focus on the needs of seniors. Senator casey toured the Altoona Community Health Center, a member of the Primary Health Network.

Casey said he wanted to hear from people dealing with healthcare in the trenches and hear their concerns about threats to the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid.

He vowed to fight the repeal of the ACA and pledged to oppose proposals to make Medicaid a block grant program.

Casey noted that  the Primary Health Network has received more than $18 million dollars in ACA funding and in 2015, treated more than 13,000 older Pennsylvanians.
