Residents in Milesburg, Centre County are being asked to evacuate due to overnight flooding. As of 7:00 a.m. around 100 people have been evacuated. Commissioners are declaring it a disaster in the area.
 
State Police tell us the fire department and emergency management are going around to impacted areas and warning residents about flooding. 
 
The areas impacted include residents living in the valley area, homes along Route 220 and Milesburg and Howard boroughs. 
 
The Eagle Valley Nursing Home has also evacuated residents. They have been moved to the Bald Eagle High School.  Bald Eagle High School has canceled classes for the day. Keystone Central School District in Mill Hall, Clinton County is also closed for the day.
 
A Red Cross emergency shelter set-up at Bald Eagle Area High School and the Salvation Army is there providing food and coffee
 
A Mobile Command Center is also set-up at Milesburg Fire Company. 
 
Residents in Bald Eagle Township are also being told that their sewage system is at capacity due to heavy flooding.
 
Anyone with damage to their property should report it to the county EMS director so it can be documented and assessed by PEMA. In Centre County the number to call is 814-355-6745.
