Two streets in downtown Altoona were blocked off this morning as police tried to piece together what happened during a domestic dispute.
According to police, it all started at a house up the hill around 2 a.m.
The couple involved drove down the hill, sideswiped a car and then crashed into another, leaving significant damage behind and blood on the ground.
The driver then continued down 11th Street, until she eventually stopped on 18th Avenue.
According to police, the driver of the car was a woman and was taken into custody because of outstanding warrants.
The man was taken to UPMC Altoona to be treated for his injuries, but there is no word on his condition.
As of now, we don’t have any information on what charges could be coming from this incident or where the blood came from.
Altoona police and state police are working together on this ongoing investigation.
