Sunday marks the first anniversary of the Supreme Court decision to legalize same-sex marriage in the United States.
Since then, the ruling inspired tens of thousands of couples to marry, but opponents say it’s fueling their plans to overturn the decision.
A Gallup poll out this week estimates that 123,000 same-sex couples were married over the past year.
Today, nearly half of same-sex couples who are living together are married, which is up 38 percent from a year ago.
