Donald Trump’s son Eric is out on the campaign trail. He’ll be in Pittsburgh Wednesday. Tuesday, we got a one-on-one exclusive interview with him about his dad’s chances of winning Pennsylvania.
It doesn’t look great for Donald Trump right now in Pennsylvania. The latest poll has him down 9 points to Hillary Clinton. Eric Trump thinks his dad will turn it around by showing Pennsylvania he’s going to pave the way to improvement.
Eric Trump says, “Pennsylvania like so many states has been left behind. Median income has been stagnant for years and years, educational systems are left behind and broken.”
Eric Trump has confidence that his dad can fix those problems and that he can perform well in a debate with Hillary Clinton.
“I think he’s going to be himself. He’s never been the type of person to memorize soundbytes to memorize little lines on a cue card and memorize them and throw them out on a debate.”
Hillary Clinton called into a radio show Tuesday and talked about her debate plans, saying “I am going to do my very best to communicate as clearly and fearlessly as I can in face of the insults and the attacks that we’ve seen coming from my opponent. I can take it, Steve, I can take that kind of stuff.”
Eric Trump says his father is surrounding himself with great people and is ready for the first debate with Hillary Clinton Monday night.
“I think he’s going to do amazing on Monday. This is his time to shine, her time to shine. I think he’s going to do phenomenally well and in terms of Pennsylvania, I know we’re going to win this state. I believe we’re going to win this state.”
