For the past month, a DuBois nursing home has gathered coats to give out to the needy.

The DuBois Village marketing director says this is the fourth year for the coat drive, which has been running since mid-December.

She placed boxes at two entry doors, and is getting ready to distribute the coats.

“They come in here and they drop them off anytime. Anybody from the community can drop them off anytime and then we collect them all and we take them to the Salvation Army,” says Village resident care manager Brandi Butler.

Friday is the last day they will be accepting new and slightly used coats, and employees plan to take them to the Salvation Army at the end of the workday.
