UPDATE: According to multiple reports, at least seven people were taken to a hospital. It is unclear the type of injuries and conditions of those transported. The shooter is believed to be dead.

The emergency alert system for Ohio State University sent out an alert Monday morning about an active shooter on campus.
According to CBS News, students have been advised to shelter in place.
State and law enforcement officials have not released any information on the situation yet.
