Police say a Clearfield licensed practical nurse didn’t report a patient’s nighttime fall.

Joan Fyock, 49, was charged with misdemeanor neglect of care today.

The complaint says a non-verbal resident at Mountain Laurel Nursing Center in the 700 block of Leonard St. was found with a broken hip last August.

An investigation showed she and an assistant had lifted him off the floor and put him back in bed two days earlier, according to the complaint.

Police say Fyock didn’t tell the on-duty RN. 

Fyock no longer works there and the facility can’t comment due to the ongoing investigation, spokesperson Phana Conaway said on Tuesday when reached by phone through the Broad Mountain Health & Rehabilitation Center in Frackville, Penn.
