Hundreds of people are shaving their heads for a good cause.

More than 200 people signed up for the “No Hair, Don’t Care” fundraiser for THON on Monday. Walk-ins were also accepted.

The event raises money for the Four Diamonds Fund and helps kick off THON week in State College.

THON captains said there’s still a lot of work to do ahead of Friday.

“Everything comes together from everyone working together,” Sydney Failor, a THON PR Captain, said. “The week couldn’t be put on without everyone’s help, so we’re making the final pushes and getting ready for the weekend. It’s pretty exciting.”

THON kicks off Friday at 6:00 p.m. and runs through Sunday.
