The Van Zandt VA Medical Center announced a new partnership with the DAV, which will provide veterans in Cambria County with free transportation to medical appointments.
The service currently runs to the Altoona VA Medical Center, but starting July 5, they will also have a shuttle to the Johnstown Community Outpatient Clinic.
Requests for transport must be made in advance and veterans must be able to get in and out of the vans unassisted or have an aid.
