New Tuesday out of Johnstown, War Memorial officials are considering naming rights for the ice arena, but they emphasize that in no way will the name “Cambria County War Memorial Arena” will be removed or altered.
The Tribune Democrat reports that the Arena’s Authority and County Commissioners are hoping to combine the name with a sponsor’s branding in some way.
The naming rights are being considered in an attempt to generate revenue and lessen the financial burden on the county.
The process is in the early stages but officials say most Veterans approve of the plans.
