The Cambria Alliance Emergency Medical Services needs help getting a new ambulance.
Manager Jeff Effinger said the ambulances are expensive and the income they receive depends monthly on the number of transports they make, not on every call they go on.
CAEMS covers 19 municipalities, with nearly 19,000 residents, responding on average to 1,800 emergency calls a year and traveling an average of 44 miles round trip each call.
