Nearly 50 Pennsylvanians have been charged with welfare fraud between October and November of 2016.
Four people in the region are included:
Stacey Lasher, 37 from Brockway, Jefferson County
Lisa Davies, 53, from Houtzdale in Clearfield County
Nickolas Carpenter, 26, of Altoona
All were found guilty of fraudulently obtaining SNAP benefits and are disqualified from applying for benefits for 12 months.
Pamela Rose, 33, of Johnstown plead guilty of fraudulently obtaining over $1,000 in cash assistance and is disqualified from receiving assistance for 6 months.
