New England Patriots Owner Bob Kraft was officially charged with two count sof first degree solicitation, Monday.
Prosecutors say Kraft was involved in a money for sex scheme at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida last month, just hours before the Patriots played in the AFC Championship Game in Kansas City.
The 77-year-old Billionaire is one of about two dozen men charged in the months-long investigation into sex trafficking.
Officials were looking into several Florida day spas and massage parlors suspected of being used for prostitution.
“After review by our intake prosecutors, we are charging 25 individuals with soliciting another to commit prosecution, pursuant to sections 796.07 (2)(f) and (5)(a)1 of the Florida statutes,” State Attorney Dave Aronberg said. “This charge is a first-degree misdemeanor.”
If convicted, Kraft faces up to one year in jail, a $5,000 civil penalty and a mandatory 100 hours of community service.
A spokesperson for Kraft has denied he committed a crime.
