Colin Kaepernick is one of the new faces for Nike’s 30th anniversary of their ‘Just Do It’ campaign.
Kaepernick shared the new ad on social media Monday afternoon, which reads, “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”
According to ESPN, Nike had signed the former NFL player in 2011, and had kept him on its endorsement roster throughout the years.
Five other athletes are being featured in the new ad campaign, including Odell Beckham Jr., Shaquem Griffin, Lacey Baker, Serena Williams, and LeBron James.
Kaepernick began protesting racial injustice in August 2016 by sitting, and later kneeling during the national anthem. No NFL team had signed him as a free agent in 2017.
