The man known as the “Gateway Lodge” murderer has lost his appeal of his many convictions for child sex offenses.
According to the Jefferson County District Attorney, Robert Rega had his appeal rejected after a 2003 conviction of 49 counts of child sex offenses.
He was sentenced to 147 to 354 years in prison for those offenses.
In 2002, Rega was convicted of first degree murder in the shooting death of a night watchman at the Gateway Lodge in Barnett Township, Jefferson County.
