According to WTAE News, investigators say Rochelle Daniels would would give him pills to make him fall asleep and make him smoke crack cocaine from a pipe in her former Davis street apartment in Brighton Heights. Investigators say Daniels’ also left the boy alone for long periods of time. Police say they  became aware of the abuse when Daniels’ abandoned the boy for 48-hours.

She is facing charges that include recklessly endangering another person, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault and corruption of minors.

Daniels is currently in a long-term drug and alcohol treatment facility, and her son is living with a family member.
