Tonight will be a great time to get a close-up look at Mars without a telescope.
The red planet is now closer to Earth than it has been in 11 years, which means Mars will appear bigger and brighter in the sky until June 3.
It will be the brightest star-like object in the southeastern sky and it will appear a bit reddish.
