Following an autopsy today, the coroner continues to say there is no sign of foul play in the death of a DuBois man near some railroad tracks.

Carl Perrin, 53, was a few blocks from home, and reports are that the man often walks in the area, Coroner Mike Morris said.

Morris says he’s not making a final determination pending blood and toxicology results, and that there are some possible medical and accidental causes.

Perrin’s body was discovered around 7:30 a.m. on Monday near Shaffer Road.

Morris says police found a backpack further on down the railroad tracks, next to a Vodka bottle.

Later, we were on scene as two nearby workers found what Morris later said was the man’s wallet and cell phones closer to where the body was, and called police.

Morris says police asked him not to release Perrin’s name until after the autopsy, which was done on Tuesday afternoon.
