A DuBois man was convicted of first-degree murder today, after he admitted to killing his girlfriend.
In 2015, 36-year old Joseph Fields cut his girlfriend’s throat last September, while her 7-year old son was in the apartment.
The victim’s family was pleased with the verdict, as Fields will now face a mandatory life sentence, with the chance of no parole.
