An early morning crash in Blair County turned fatal.

The crash happened along Juniata River Rd. on Route 866 in Frankstown Township just before 6 a.m.

53- year old Kenneth Swope Jr. died in the crash, when his car collided with another car driven by 24-year old Steven Reckart.

Reckart was airlifted from the scene to UPMC Altoona with serious injuries.

Both drivers were not wearing their seatbelts.
