A Carrolltown man is facing arson charges.
State Police say Gary Bassett is accused of setting a fire at a garage at 149 Wysocki Road in Carrolltown, Cambria County.
The fire happened sometime between June 6th and June 7th of this year.
According to the affidavit, Bassett was identified as a suspect after being interviewed by State Police on August 30. The 37 year old agreed to provide a DNA sample.
The sample matched the DNA found on an unburned rag found in the garage. State Police say the DNA match placed Bassett at the scene.
The garage fire happened at the same property where a house fire killed 88 year old James Barrett in March of this year.
Bassett could be facing additional charges.
