A Saltsburg man is dead and four others injured after a crash in Conemaugh Township early Sunday morning.
State Police said 21 year-old Luke White was a passenger in the car, which police said was driving too fast on Saltsburg Road, just south of Rose Road. The driver allegedly lost control on a right turn and struck a tree head on around 3:45 Sunday morning.
The driver had to be cut out of the vehicle and was flown from the scene with major injuries. Two other passengers fled from the scene, but were found in the woods. One of them had moderate injuries.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
