A man is in jail — accused of assaulting an officer and leading police on a chase Saturday evening.
Police say 41-year-old Walter Parks was stopped on State Route 422 in White Township when he fled from police and led them on a chase to Rexis Road in Buffington Township, Indiana County.
Parks allegedly drove through property, nearly hit one state trooper’s car and drove into the driver’s side another trooper’s car.
He’s facing several charges.
