Tyrone Police have released the name of a man arrested Wednesday for domestic assault.
31-year old Koran Burch is in custody after Blair County dispatch received multiple calls about a woman screaming hysterically at her home.
Police arrived at the 1300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Tyrone around 3 p.m., when according to police, Burch slammed the door in the face of an officer.
Police say the suspect would not listen to orders and was tazed and then taken into custody without any injuries.
Police say Burch had strangled the victim and she feared for her life.
Burch also prevented the victim from calling 911.
He is facing aggravated assault, resisting arrest and terrorist threat charges, among others.
