A Gallitzin man is behind bars Saturday after leading police on a chase in a stolen police cruiser.
It allegedly happened Friday night around 8:30 pm in Gallitzin Township, Cambria County.
State Police said 21 year old Gerard Warren ran away from the Assistance Living Home in Gallitzin Borough, broke into the Gallitzin Sewage Treatment plant on Commercial Lane, stole a police cruiser and led police on a chase.
Warren allegedly drove down State Route 53 from Gallitzin into Cresson Borough and then onto State Route 22. He was stopped near the Munster exit, where he was taken into custody.
Warren is facing a number of charges including criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking and recklessly endangering another person.
