Police say an Allport man tried to sneak nearly 100 items out of the DuBois Wal-Mart.

The complaint says Kyle Couturiaux, 29, cut a hole in the garden center fence last Wednesday around 2 a.m. and pushed a shopping cart through.

Police say he ran away when an employee spotted him with a second cart, then drove over a fire hydrant, which fell off at Industrial Drive.

Police say they followed a liquid trail and found his truck broken down near Mile 107 on I-80. He was later arrested.
