Students in the Central Cambria School District tested out Google’s latest technology.

A Google representative visited Central Cambria High School to let 6th-12th graders test out the new Google Expeditions Pioneer Program: Expeditions AR (augmented reality).

The app lets users see any object in 3D, like sharks or dinosaurs.

“Normally, you go into a classroom and read out of a textbook and you can see pictures. That’s good and everything, but now, we’re taking it a step up. Now, we’re actually able to take those objects and bring them to the students,” said Kenneth Krott, the director of technology for Central Cambria School District.

Teachers at Central Cambria hope to someday incorporate the technology into their curriculum.
