The Ashville Borough Police Chief is facing charges following an alleged domestic dispute. According to Altoona Police, Otto “Gil” Barton III, 34 turned himself in to face a misdemeanor assault charge Monday.
Police say he allegedly grabbed his wife by the throat and ripped her sweatshirt during an argument.
Barton is free on $15 thousand bond. A preliminary hearing is set for May 11.
