HUNTINGDON COUNTY (WTAJ) — A young girl is home with safe after an attempted kidnapping Thursday night thanks to a family safe word.
The 11-year-old was riding her bike on 10th street, in Smithfield Township in Huntingdon County when she was approached by a stranger.
The man told the girl that her mother sent him to take her home.
The young girl asked the man for a safe word.
When he made up a false word she refused to get in the car and the man left.
Police are now asking  for your help locating the suspect.
He is a young white man last seen in a blue t-shirt and white cargo pants driving a four-door dark grey sedan.
